This site is dedicated to helping parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles get creative with the time that they spend with their families having a fun night or weekend together. My hope is that the ideas I have to share will inspire you and your family to plan a Family Fun Night. Once you try it I know it will become something that the entire family will look forward to doing together on a regular basis.

1.  Take a trip to the local zoo

2.  Fly a kite

3.  Make homemade playdough and create works of art

4.  Write a letter to a friend or family member that lives in another city

5.  Volunteer as a family at a local soup kitchen

6.  Pack a picnic lunch and plan a long hike or walk

7.  Bake cookies

8.  Attend a local outdoor music or food festival

9.  Browse through a local museum (many now have special areas especially created for children).

10.  Make homemade ice cream and eat it outdoors

11.  Go fishing at a local pond or lake

12.  Play dress-up using old prom dresses and outdated clothes

13.  Learn to cook a new type of food and create a meal together with the kids

14.  Learn to juggle as a family

15.  Try a new ethnic food style for dinner and make that culture the theme of your Family Fun Night

16.  Go sledding

17.  Make up a new family game

18.  Plant a family tree together.

19.  Have a music appreciation night and let everyone share their favorite music.  Sing kareoke or play American Idol.

20.  Plan a family night and include the grandparents.

21.  If grandparents are not close by, plan a family day to a local nursing home and adopt a grandparent.

22.  Take a walk in the rain.

23.  Wash the cars together and end up having a water fight.

24.  Plan a movie night complete with popcorn and candy.

25.  Play "balloon volleyball" in the house.  (adults on their knees).

26.  Invent a holiday to celebrate - Taco Day, Good Report Card Day, Stuffed Animal Day, Opposite Day, etc....

27.  Make up a family trivia game with questions about family dates of importance, place the family have been, relatives, funny memories, etc.c.

28.  Put together a family jigsaw puzzle.
